Katherine Laboy, Realtor

Katherine was originally born in Washington, DC, but her family returned to their native Bogota, Colombia when she was just a year old. She thrived in her home country, studying in Colombia’s best schools and eventually learning English as a second language. She became a star in her high school’s theater department while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
Upon graduating high school in Colombia, Katherine received an amazing opportunity to return to the United States to continue studying English and pursue a business degree.  Colombia had become a dangerous place because of the drug war of the 90's and it was a perfect time to leave all that behind.
Katherine moved to Orlando, Florida in 1999 to begin her quest. One of her first jobs was at a local bank. She worked her way through the ranks, becoming the head of the bilingual team handling escalated issues at the bank only after six months of working there. She later began working in loan processing and transaction coordinating.  Her strong work ethic and attention to detail led her to being promoted to Senior Processor. Katherine exemplifies customer service excellence and thrives on making whoever she's working with happy.
In 2003, Katherine met her husband, Cesar, in Orlando. They married in 2005 and welcomed their first child two years later. Then in 2008, when Cesar lost his job in the tech crash, they were faced with the possibility that Florida was no longer for them.  They decided to make the move to Austin after Katherine fell in love with the city on a visit the year before.
Katherine soon realized that her passion was helping people fulfill their dreams. She knew that helping people buy and sell their homes would be the ultimate customer service experience, so she decided to get her real estate license and join her husband in the business! She is now dedicated to delivering the highest level of customer service to all of her clients. She bases her entire business on helping others. It's what she loves and what she does well.
When Katherine is not practicing real estate, she enjoys baking, taking hikes, reading, hanging out with her family and just being a mom. She dreamed for many years about becoming the woman that  she is today and wouldn't give it up for the world.

Cesar Laboy, Realtor

Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Cesar moved to the Houston area in 1978. He studied almost constantly and was able to learn English in 6 months. He went on to graduate from Klein Forest High School and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock.

Cesar moved to Austin in 1991 where he began his career in the IT field. During his time with some of the industry’s giants, he learned that serving others would not only be part of his life but would need to be part of whatever career path he chose. He loved helping people and still believes that customer service is the best foundation for a successful transaction.

In 2000, his job took him to Orlando, Florida where he met his wife, Katherine. They married in 2005 and had their first child in 2007. During the tech crash of 2008, as happened to so many in the tech field, Cesarwas laid off from his job. With their second child on the way, they realized that Florida was no longer the place for them. Cesar and Katherine decided to move back to Austin and it has been one of the best decisions they have ever made.

Cesar realized that he wanted to start a career in real estate after working with a mutual friend in the business. Cesar believes that customer service is of the utmost importance in all of his transactions and is what sets him apart from other agents. He knows that buying/selling a home can be stressful at times but, when done with transparency, it can make the process a whole lot easier. Treating his clients with dignity and respect is what he loves doing.

When Cesar is not practicing real estate, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. They love Austin and everything it has to offer, not only for them but for their children's futures. Some of their favorite activities are going to The Domain, hiking in the hill country, and visiting wineries. Cesar enjoys basketball, CrossFit, volleyball and anything outdoors. There aren't many restaurants in town that he hasn't tried so if you need ideas on where to eat, he's a great source!
